The Vinyl coated  welded wire mesh base plate (not pictured) is welded wire with 1" x 1" openings for aeration and drainage. Overall size is approx. 28" x 28", and molds easily around the bottom of the unit.  The base  is available to provide resistance to rodents and is required by some municipalities.
